| | Details about me: | I'm a compulsively self-doubting published author (fiction and poetry), with background in Psychology and English Literature, born in Tallinn, Estonia, from age 11 lived in Riga, Latvia, educated Moscow, Bar-Ilan and London Universities (PhD in 20th century European Literature completed but, for various reasons, never submitted), currently based in Jerusalem and London, teaching English language at my own very small private school using psycholinguistics (including hypnosis) and pop songs. My interests are cultural: the Arts; also Nature. I love classical music but also enjoy the best of pop. I'm physically active, like walking, jogging, hiking and photographing things around, especially the natural world. IÂ’m urban nevertheless: provided I can have occasional excursions into the country, nature in a (green) metropolis is enough for me. I love animals, cats and dogs in particular, and own three cats; on occasion I do little things for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals when in London and for a couple of animal-caring non-profit organizations in Israel (e.g. Jerusalem Cats). Culturally I'm a mix: Baltic, English, Russian, Jewish (not practicing but warm towards the tradition). I'm looking for an optimistic, upbeat, active woman who doesn't smoke or drink, loves nature and animals, has a sense of humour and can take a joke at her own expense (I'd very much like to hope that I can!) In spite of my reasonable achievements I have self-esteem problems (thank you, Mother) and would love to meet a self-confident (but not over-confident) woman with whom I could discuss my writings and who would give me both support and constructive criticism. I can be very energetic but need a push. In return I'll give warmth, love, friendship and respect. I believe in an equal relationship and am very sympathetic to "feminism with a human face."
