I was born in Trivandrum, Kerala, India lived in New Delhi, and then moved to USA when I was four years old. Besides living in Champaign, IL and Chicago, IL during college, I've been living in Hickory Hills, (27km southwest of Chicago). I work as a night pharmacist at a hospital.
I enjoy photography, gardening, cooking, cycling, and travel. I have a weakness for dessert especially cookies, ice cream, and chocolate. I garden from spring till fall, weather permitting. I grew tulips, roses, morning glory vines, strawberries, grapes and raspberries in the past. I like watching foreign movies and traveling. I have been to Costa Rica, France, Thailand and Cambodia.
After listening to a news program, World View, on Chicago Public Radio (part of Public Radio International), I have become more globally aware. To know that half of the people in the world do not have access to clean water and sanitation makes me sad. I realize that I DO live in paradise. I have food in my stomach, a safe place to live, a warm place to sleep, I can buy almost anything I want, travel to the ends of the world, have an education, and live without the oppression so many people around the globe have to endure.
The more I hear about the unequal balance of wealth in the world, I realize that colonialism and imperialism of countries such as Spain, England and the country that IÂ’m a citizen of is to blame. In the past,. I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) as a volunteer. I am funding the scholarship of 25 students to attend university in Kerala, India in engineering. In addition, I funded two rural secondary schools in Cambodia. Besides that, I'm a low-maintenance, easy-to-please, humble guy.
I'm looking for a woman who's doesn't smoke, is independent, compassionate, friendly, looking for a life partner and makes me smile.
