I am a single parent with two talented, well-rounded and intelligent children, a son aged 21 and a daughter aged 14. I'm originally from Johannesburg, South Africa and came to Bahrain (with my 2 children) in June 2006 on a work assignment. I'm an Administration Manager for a property developer.

I express myself in a very open, direct, and straightforward manner, although I always try to maintain a level of diplomacy. I have a great deal of faith and trust in life and failures don't crush my spirit. I have a cautious, careful, realistic attitude toward life and am highly responsible and disciplined with regard to my obligations and duties, both personal and professional.

I always strive to do what I do very well and I have a great desire for learning and self-improvement. I love to take risks, to discover and explore new worlds, and to take the untried path rather than the safe, reliable one. This adds spice to life.

I am independent and freedom-loving. I thrive on helping people, and I try to live a life based on love, integrity, respect, justice and vision. I feel rewarded when I fulfill my soulÃ‚Â’s need to ease the pain of others.

Single-parenting has proved to be very challenging, and even though I've had to endure a lot of difficulties, I have always strived to raise my two children to become the best that they can be, even with minimum resources. IÃ‚Â’ve tried to instill in them the values which will make them become responsible adults who can contribute to society in a positive and constructive way.

Overall, I think I am an incurable optimist. I have big dreams, aspirations, and hopes for the future, and am always pursuing some goal or other. I see life as a temporary assignment - a journey, an adventure, endlessly interesting and rich with possibilities.

I'm looking for an intelligent, interesting man who is looking for a long term relationship. He should have good dress sense, a sense of social and financial responsibility, a good sense of humour, and he should be prepared to accept my 2 children as part of the package, since I am a single parent and they are part of my life in a big way.

I think my essay is quite clear, straight and to the point, therefore I'm not going to go into too much detail about what kind of man I want. All people are unique and special in their own way.
